Role Description
This is a casual, in office position for a Support Worker located in North Lakes, QLD.
The Support
Worker will assist clients with daily activities, provide personal care, and promote overall well-being. The role includes offering emotional support, fostering independence, ensuring clients' safety, and maintaining a clean and comfortable living environment.
Collaboration with team members and effective communication with clients and their families are integral parts of this role.
Qualifications
- Experience as a Support Worker with a strong understanding of client care
- Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills to build rapport and effectively interact with clients and colleagues
- Knowledge of Safeguarding practices to ensure clients' safety and well-being
- Ability to provide basic Technical Support when assisting with clients' use of devices and technology
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to enhancing clients' quality of life
- Relevant certification in community services, aged care, or disability support is highly desirable
- CPR certification and a current First Aid certificate are advantageous
