Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide technology strategies and solution architectures. The successful candidate will translate business objectives into secure, scalable, sustainable and integrated technology solutions that support organisational priorities and long-term business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement technology strategies, architecture roadmaps and future-state designs aligned with organisational objectives.
- Define and maintain architecture principles, standards, frameworks and design patterns.
- Research emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align technology strategies with business needs and organisational transformation.
- Translate business requirements into secure, scalable and cost-effective solution architectures.
- Assess business processes, technology capabilities and system dependencies to recommend fit-for-purpose solutions and support investment decisions.
- Develop architecture designs and technical standards aligned with business requirements, timelines and budgets.
- Conduct architecture reviews to ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements and technology standards.




- Identify architectural risks, system limitations and technical debt, and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Maintain architecture roadmaps and technology documentation, including system dependencies, lifecycle risks and costs.
- Drive application and platform rationalisation to improve efficiency, security, maintainability and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide architectural guidance to project teams and stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Ensure technology solutions deliver business value while maintaining security, operational resilience and financial sustainability.

Essential Skills and Experience

- Proven experience in Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture or a similar senior technology role.
- Strong expertise in developing technology strategies, architecture roadmaps and future-state solution designs.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Experience with application, integration, infrastructure and technology architecture.
- Robust knowledge of architecture governance, design standards, security principles and technology frameworks.
- Experience evaluating technology options, managing architectural risks and supporting technology investment decisions.
- Ability to assess existing technology landscapes, identify dependencies and address technical debt.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning and problem-solving capabilities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

- Experience leading enterprise-wide technology transformation, modernisation or platform rationalisation initiatives.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and modelling practices.
- Experience working in large, complex organisations with diverse technology environments.
- Knowledge of technology portfolio management, cost optimisation and technology lifecycle management.
