We are seeking a reliable, caring and professional Aged Care & Disability Support Worker to provide quality support to elderly clients and people living with disability. The successful applicant will assist clients to maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life while supporting them in their homes and within the community.
Key responsibilities
- Provide respectful, person-centred care and support
- Assist clients with daily living activities and community access
- Provide companionship and social support
- Assist clients with appointments, shopping and community activities
- Support clients with mobility, including clients who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids
- Safely transport clients using a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Follow individual client care and support plans
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns regarding client wellbeing
- Maintain a safe, respectful and supportive environment
About you
- A current, clean Australian driver's licence
- Confident and competent driving a wheelchair-accessible vehicle
- Reliable, compassionate, patient and respectful
- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to client dignity, privacy, safety and independence
- Willingness to complete or provide relevant checks, licences and qualifications required for the position
- Experience in aged care, disability support, community care or a similar role will be highly regarded
