About the Role

The Cleaning Services Assistant is responsible for providing cleaning services that contribute to a safe, clean, and home-like environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

- Provide cleaning services in accordance with established cleaning schedules.
- Mopping, vacuuming, floor polishing,



carpet cleaning, dusting, waste management, and restocking supplies.
- Assist with laundry duties as required.
- Maintain accurate records of completed cleaning tasks.
- Ensure safe storage and appropriate use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Participate in infection prevention and control practices.
- Contribute to a safe environment by ensuring cleaning equipment does not obstruct exits or walkways.
- Undertake other duties within your skills and experience as directed by the organisation.

Essential Requirements

- Previous cleaning experience or relevant training.
- Current National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge and experience in the safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Previous experience in residential aged care is desirable.
- Understanding of infection control principles and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- To be considered for employment with Respect, all candidates must satisfy the legislative requirements of the Aged Care Worker Screening process.
