About our client
Our client has a wet fire division that delivers testing, maintenance, minor works and project installations across commercial environments, including shopping centres and aged care facilities. The business is growing and scaling, and this role supports the expansion of the wet fire division. The team is small and team-oriented, and the role works closely with the Operations Manager.

About the opportunity
This is a hands-on sprinkler fitter role in our client’s wet fire division in Adelaide. You will work across testing, maintenance, minor works and project installations in commercial environments, and work closely with the Operations Manager. The role suits someone who can manage their own workload and wants to grow with a division that is scaling.
In this role, you will:

- Oversee and carry out high-quality commercial sprinkler system services across testing, minor works and repairs
- Meet AS1851 and AS2118 compliance requirements across maintenance and installation tasks
- Estimate job requirements and coordinate resources for minor works and projects
- Manage your own daily workload, including on-call and overtime commitments
- Build client trust and mentor junior team members as the division grows

Day to day, you will complete AS1851 compliant installs, inspections and tests on wet fire systems, and attend and resolve faults on wet-pipe sprinkler systems, pre-action valves and assemblies, and special hazard fire suppression systems. You will assess labour, materials and time for each job, create quotes in Uptick, and plan and schedule minor projects and installations. You will also support client audits and quality assurance processes and, where possible, bring in more clients through relationship building.

About you
You are an experienced wet fire sprinkler fitter with a commercial background,



who works well independently and communicates clearly with clients and your manager.
To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Certificate 3 in Sprinkler Fitting (or equivalent industry qualification)
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in wet fire systems, including installation and servicing of wet-pipe systems, pre-action valves and special hazard systems
- Knowledge of AS1851 and AS2118.1 compliance requirements
- Experience estimating labour, materials and time, preparing quotes and using Uptick
- Strong organisation and communication skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to work with minimal supervision
- A professional presentation and leadership potential
- Willingness to undergo a medical and a drug and alcohol test for employment
- A gas handling licence is advantageous

What’s on offer
This role is 40 hours a week with flexibility, based in Adelaide, and a company vehicle is provided. There is access to overtime, and you can create your own overtime by bringing in work from current clients to help expand the business. Our client is willing to provide further training on the technical side, including training for a construction fitter moving across to service fitting. You will work with professional autonomy, with structured check-ins and ongoing support from management. As the wet fire division grows, there is potential to move off the tools into senior management or account management roles.
