We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for workshop-based positions in Rutherford.

Our client specialises in the repair, servicing and overhaul of underground mining machinery, with several upcoming projects and an immediate requirement for skilled tradespeople.

Responsibilities

- Carry out mechanical overhauls, repairs and maintenance on underground monorails and associated equipment.

- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults.

- Disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble mechanical components.

- Complete testing and inspections to ensure equipment is operating correctly.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections and component replacements.

- Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a high standard of workmanship.

Requirements





- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter or equivalent – essential.

- Experience in heavy equipment overhauls, repairs and assembly – highly regarded.

- Basic hydraulic knowledge and experience – desirable.

- Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding ability.

- Safety-focused attitude, reliability and a robust work ethic.
