Naylor Legal is a boutique property and commercial law firm based at The Spit Anchorage in Mosman, Sydney. Established in 2021 by Principal Solicitor Sophia Naylor, the firm acts in property, conveyancing, leasing, strata, commercial, construction, and wills and estates matters for individuals, families and businesses across New South Wales. Drawing on over a decade of experience across private practice and government, we deliver clear, practical and commercially focused advice.

As a small, close-knit team, every matter is overseen at senior level, our clients get direct and responsive communication, and everyone’s contribution matters.

Role Description

This is a part-time (24–38 hours per week), fully office-based role at our Mosman office. Remote work is not available. You’ll manage a varied file load of residential purchases and sales from instruction through to settlement, working closely with our Principal Solicitor and the wider team.

Day-to-day, you’ll prepare and review contracts for sale, handle exchange and settlement, run matters on PEXA, and manage settlement bookings and figures. You’ll conduct searches, enquiries and pre-settlement checks and flag issues early. You’ll also be the main point of contact for clients, agents, other parties’ representatives and lenders.

Keeping files organised, up to date and moving through each stage of the transaction is central to the role,



and you’ll help across leasing and other property matters as needed.

Qualifications

- Preferably 3 years of NSW conveyancing experience (paralegal, conveyancing clerk or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of PEXA and the NSW conveyancing process
- A sharp eye for issues, with the ability to spot problems in contracts, searches and settlement figures and raise them early
- Explicit, confident written and verbal communication
- The confidence to push back when something isn’t right, whether with agents, the other side or internally
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build robust relationships with clients, agents and other parties
- Strong attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines and changing priorities
- Driven, determined and hardworking, with the energy to thrive in a rapid-paced environment
- Able to work from our office at The Spit, Mosman, with reliable means of getting there
- Experience with conveyancing practice management software (e.g. triConvey) is highly regarded
