We are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to design, implement, optimize, and support enterprise-scale Palo Alto Networks security environments for Australian customers. This is a remote position, working aligned to Australian business hours (AEST/AEDT), with participation in scheduled after-hours change windows when required.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and optimize Palo Alto NGFW, VPN, HA, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Manage large-scale firewall estates through Panorama and Strata Cloud Manager.
- Act as the L3 escalation point for complex firewall, VPN, routing, decryption, and HA issues.
- Conduct security health checks, policy optimization, and SSL/TLS decryption implementations.
- Support migrations to Strata Cloud Manager and SASE technologies.
- Prepare technical documentation, RCA reports, and customer presentations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to operational excellence.

Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Current PCNSE Certification




- 5+ years of Network Security experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Palo Alto NGFW implementation and L3 support
- Experience delivering end-to-end firewall deployments, including HA configurations
- Experience supporting regulated industries such as Banking, Financial Services, Government, or Healthcare

Preferred Qualifications

- Palo Alto Networks SSE, SD-WAN, or Cortex certifications
- CCNP Security / Enterprise or Fortinet NSE certifications
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience working within an MSP/MSSP environment
- Experience supporting Australian customers
