About Saint Valentine

Saint Valentine is an Australian jewellery brand crafting refined, meaningful pieces made to be lived in and loved. Female founded and hand finished in Sydney, we design contemporary jewellery in 18k gold vermeil, 925 sterling silver and 9k solid gold, for everyday self-expression and meaningful gifting: for self love and love shared.

Now celebrating 10 years, Saint Valentine is a successful omni-channel business across online, retail, wholesale and marketplace channels, including our Manly boutique and stockists such as David Jones, Superette and The Iconic. We are looking for an exceptional Ecommerce Manager to own and grow our online channel as we enter our next stage of growth.

The role The Ecommerce Manager is responsible for trading and growing Saint Valentine’s ecommerce channel, including the Shopify website, digital merchandising, CRM and lifecycle marketing, marketplace trading, online customer service and ecommerce reporting.

This is a hands-on commercial role. The Ecommerce Manager owns day-to-day channel performance and execution, working closely with Marketing, Creative, Product, Inventory and Retail to deliver revenue growth, strong conversion and a high-quality online customer experience.

The role reports to the Chief Commercial Officer and requires a balance of commercial analysis, operational discipline and confident execution.

Key responsibilities

1. Ecommerce trading and channel performance

- Own weekly, monthly and seasonal ecommerce trading performance across revenue, conversion rate, AOV, UPT, traffic, sell-through and channel contribution.
- Run the weekly ecommerce trade meeting and report, identifying risks, opportunities and actions, and following them through to completion.
- Monitor website performance daily and coordinate timely resolution of technical, content, merchandising or customer experience issues.
- Maintain the ecommerce trading calendar, aligned with the marketing calendar, product launches, seasonal events and promotional periods.
- Manage onsite execution of launches, campaigns, promotions and content updates, ensuring accuracy and commercial readiness.
- Plan and run A/B tests and conversion rate optimisation initiatives, measuring and reporting outcomes.

2. Website, product and digital merchandising

- Manage and optimise the online customer journey across navigation, search, collections, product pages, checkout and post-purchase touchpoints.
- Lead online product merchandising in Shopify to improve conversion, sell-through and customer engagement.
- Ensure product information, imagery, pricing, SEO fields and onsite content are accurate, complete and on brand.
- Support inventory-related ecommerce activity, including pre-orders, low-stock and sold-out management, markdowns and stocktake requirements.
- Brief and manage development resources to deliver website updates, bug fixes, UX improvements and roadmap projects, including overseeing the theme development and deployment process.
- Own the ecommerce app and integration stack,

ensuring each tool has clear ownership, documentation and ongoing value.
- Support business systems projects that touch ecommerce, including inventory system integration with Shopify.

3. Paid media and acquisition

- Brief the Marketing Manager and paid media agency on ecommerce commercial priorities, including revenue targets, product focus, stock availability, launch timing and promotions.
- Ensure landing pages, product pages and campaign destinations are conversion-focused and ready for paid traffic before campaigns go live.
- Monitor paid media performance from a commercial perspective, including revenue, ROAS, cost of sale, recent customer acquisition and traffic quality.
- Share trading insights and performance feedback with Marketing and agency partners to support optimisation and future planning.

4. CRM and customer lifecycle

- Own CRM execution in Klaviyo, including automated flows, campaign builds, segmentation, list health and deliverability.
- Review and optimise automated flows, including welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, win-back and review flows.
- Work with the Marketing Manager, who sets brand messaging and creative direction, to align email and SMS activity with the trading calendar and customer behaviour.
- Improve retention, repeat purchase and customer lifetime value through structured segmentation and lifecycle planning.
- Report on CRM performance, including revenue contribution, engagement, retention and repeat purchase behaviour.

5. Marketplace management

- Manage day-to-day trading and performance of marketplace channels, including The Iconic and any future marketplace platforms.
- Work with the Chief Commercial Officer on marketplace product selection, promotional participation and commercial direction.
- Monitor marketplace revenue, margin, sell-through, stock position and customer experience, providing recommendations to improve performance.
- Ensure marketplace content, pricing, promotions and stock feeds are accurate and aligned with ecommerce and inventory priorities.

6. Online customer service

- Own the online customer service function, including response times, service quality, escalations and customer experience outcomes.
- Maintain customer service tools, templates, macros, automations and knowledge base resources.
- Use customer service data and recurring issues to drive website, product, fulfilment and communication improvements.
- Work with the dispatch and logistics team to resolve fulfilment issues and plan service and dispatch capacity for peak periods, launches and promotions.

7. Reporting and commercial analysis

- Prepare weekly, monthly and seasonal ecommerce reporting across revenue, traffic, conversion, AOV, UPT, margin, returns, CRM and customer service.
- Present clear trade results,

insights and recommended actions to the Chief Commercial Officer and relevant stakeholders.
- Report on recent collection and launch performance, including sell-through, customer response and channel insights.
- Support the annual ecommerce budget and re-forecasting process, and manage ecommerce operating costs, including apps, tools and development spend.
- Conduct customer and competitor analysis to inform trading, merchandising and customer experience decisions.

8. Process and stakeholder management

- Maintain ecommerce SOPs, checklists and process documentation so key activity is repeatable and not reliant on one person.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Creative, Product, Inventory, Retail, Dispatch and Finance to plan and deliver launches, campaigns and trading activity.
- Manage external partners, including developers, platform providers, app vendors and marketplace contacts, with clear briefs, expectations and accountability.
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation, AI tools and improved workflows, and implement them where approved.

Expected capabilities

- Minimum four years’ experience in ecommerce trading or management, ideally in a direct-to-consumer fashion, jewellery or accessories brand.
- Strong working knowledge of Shopify, including theme management, apps, product and collection setup, and working with developers on site releases.
- Hands-on experience with Klaviyo or a comparable CRM platform, including flows, segmentation and reporting.
- Confident with GA4, Shopify analytics and Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to translate data into clear insights and actions.
- Understanding of paid media performance and how onsite experience drives return on ad spend.
- Marketplace trading experience, with The Iconic experience advantageous.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, with high attention to detail.
- Clear communicator, able to brief agencies, developers and internal teams effectively.
- Strong commercial judgment, balancing revenue growth, margin, customer experience and operational capacity.

Role expectations

- Operate with a high degree of ownership, accountability and commercial awareness.
- Be hands-on in day-to-day execution while keeping focus on channel performance and priorities.
- Ensure all ecommerce activity is executed accurately and to a high brand standard.
- Proactively identify issues, recommend solutions and follow them through to resolution.
- Keep processes and documentation current so the channel can scale and be supported by others.
