Media Specialist - Sydney, NSW
The Opportunity
Support strategic media and communications activities through high-quality content development, media engagement and reputation management. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to proactive and reactive media strategies, manage issues and support public relations activities within a complex and high-profile environment.
What You'll Do

- Develop and deliver high-quality media content that supports reputation and public engagement objectives.
- Prepare media statements, announcements, briefing materials and communication collateral.
- Identify emerging issues and opportunities to support proactive media strategies and announcements.
- Monitor media coverage, prepare advice and support responses to media enquiries and issues.
- Coordinate media activities, events and supporting materials for senior executives and public engagements.
- Manage competing priorities while ensuring timely, accurate and high-quality communications.

What We're Looking For

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated media, journalism, public relations or communications experience within a complex environment.




- Experience developing media strategies and managing sensitive or high-profile issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver quality content under tight deadlines.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and support media activities outside standard business hours when required. Why Apply

- Contract duration: ASAP until 19/02/2026.
