Brisbane | Immediate Start | Temp Opportunity

We're partnering with a well-established Brisbane business seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their finance team on an initial 3 month contract with high potential for extension, to help capacity across the new year period.

This role will suit someone who has worked in a high volume invoice and rapid-paced environment, dealing with multiple stakeholders and complex supplier relationships. While there is some payroll assistance involved, the focus is Accounts Payable.

About The Role

Working closely with finance leadership, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end accounts payable function, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while supporting broader finance operations.

Key Responsibilities Include

- End-to-end accounts payable processing
- Supplier account maintenance and management
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and contracts
- Processing invoices, credit notes and employee reimbursements
- Supplier statement reconciliations and query resolution
- Payment runs, banking uploads and remittance processing
- Credit card reconciliations and expense reporting
- Maintaining accurate creditor balances and aged payables
- Assisting with cashflow forecasting and payment planning




- Supporting process improvement and AP automation initiatives
- Providing payroll support across fortnightly payroll cycles when required

About You

To Be Successful, You'll Bring

- Proven experience in an end to end Accounts Payable role
- Exposure to high-volume transaction processing
- Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
- Experience working within a complex business setting, ideally involving multiple operational locations
- Excellent stakeholder management and supplier communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Payroll exposure will be highly regarded but is not essential for this contract
