Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Plastic Surgeons to join the Surgical Department.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our six main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:
The role will encompass ward, theatre and on-call duty in addition to assisting with back fill within specialist clinics. There may also be a component of non-clinical work including quality and safety, teaching and research.
This role requires experience in:
- General Reconstructive Plastic Surgery
- Hand Surgery: elective hand surgery and trauma, including replantation skills.
- Severe soft tissue infection
- General Burns management
- Lower limb trauma
- Paediatric Plastic Surgery
- Skin cancer, including BCC, SCC and Melanoma
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons – FRACS in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
- Radiation License
