Looking for a contract where you're building new products, influencing architecture and working on systems used by millions of customers?

We're partnering with a leading Australian financial services organisation on the hire of several Senior Java Engineers to join their Core Digital engineering teams. With significant investment in new products and platform development, there's plenty of opportunity to get involved in meaningful engineering work from day one.

You'll be working across recent feature development, platform modernisation and scalable backend systems, taking ownership of solutions from initial design through to production. The environment is technically complex, with a mix of monolithic and microservices architecture, cloud-native development and high-performance distributed systems.

What they're looking for:

Strong commercial experience with Java, Spring Boot and Hibernate,



ideally with six or more years in backend software engineering. You'll have experience designing and developing APIs, working with microservices and building scalable applications within AWS environments.

They're looking for engineers who can take ownership, contribute to architectural decisions and deliver high-quality solutions, rather than simply picking up tickets. Experience within banking or financial services is beneficial, but strong engineering fundamentals are the priority.
