Peikko Australia Pty Ltd, based in Yatala, QLD, is the Australian subsidiary of Peikko Group, a global supplier of concrete connections and composite structure technology. Established in Finland in 1965, Peikko operates internationally across the construction and manufacturing sectors.

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Pick & Packer / Machine Operator to join our warehouse and production team in Yatala.

The Role

This is a hands-on and varied position combining warehouse, pick & pack and manufacturing duties. The successful applicant will assist with preparing customer orders for dispatch while also operating production machinery and supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities.

The role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things correctly and safely, and is willing to learn different machines and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently

- Check quantities, product specifications and order requirements prior to dispatch

- Prepare, label and organise orders for collection and delivery

- Operate production machinery and equipment safely

- Complete production orders in accordance with required specifications

- Carry out basic dimensional and quality checks on finished products

- Use hand tools, power tools and production equipment as required

- Assist with loading and unloading materials and finished products

- Complete required production and warehouse documentation

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and production area

- Report any safety, quality, equipment or production issues to the supervisor

- Follow company WHS procedures, Safe Operating Procedures and PPE requirements





- Assist other warehouse and production activities as required

What We’re Looking For

Ideally, you will have:

- Previous warehousing, pick & pack, manufacturing or production experience

- Machine operating experience, although training can be provided

- A current forklift licence, or previous forklift experience, highly regarded

- Experience using hand tools, power tools or production equipment

- Good attention to detail and ability to complete orders accurately

- A practical and mechanically minded approach

- Good communication and teamwork skills

- A solid work ethic and reliable attendance

- Ability to perform manual handling and work in a physical warehouse/manufacturing environment

- A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality

- Current Australian driver's licence preferred

- Valid rights to work in Australia
