An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Estimator to join an established and growing business within the architectural industry, based in Scoresby.
This role will suit someone with strong estimating experience, ideally within architectural aluminium, windows, doors, glazing or the broader construction industry, who understands technical drawings, project specifications and the importance of accurate and competitive pricing.
The Role
Reporting to management, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and quotations across a range of architectural projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed estimates, quotations and project costings.
- Review architectural drawings, plans and specifications.
- Calculate material quantities, labour requirements and associated costs.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain pricing.
- Work closely with sales, production and project management teams.
- Identify potential cost variations and project requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and assist with tender submissions.
- Maintain accurate estimating records and documentation.
About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:
- Previous estimating experience within the architectural, aluminium, windows and doors or construction industry.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Established relationships with builders, developers and industry contacts would be a huge advantage.
- Solid commercial awareness and the ability to understand project requirements.
- Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good computer skills and experience with estimating software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines.
