ROUSSOS Recruitment is working with a prominent Tier 1 construction business to appoint an experienced Project Manager to its project delivery team.

Operating across Australia, the organisation has an established presence in the delivery of large-scale construction projects across commercial, defence, residential, healthcare, aged care and public infrastructure. With a substantial pipeline of work, this is an opportunity to step into a key position where you will have responsibility for project performance, team leadership and the successful delivery of a major build.

You will work closely with senior management and an experienced project team, with the autonomy to drive outcomes while contributing to the broader success of the business.

The Opportunity

Taking responsibility for the project lifecycle, you will oversee all aspects of delivery, balancing commercial performance, programme requirements, quality and safety.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Directing project delivery from mobilisation through to practical completion, ensuring key milestones and performance targets are met.
- Establishing project schedules, budgets, procurement plans and construction methodologies.
- Leading and supporting project personnel, promoting accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Monitoring financial performance, including cost reporting, cash flow, variations, forecasting and commercial risk.
- Managing relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.




- Anticipating potential delivery challenges and implementing strategies to minimise risk and maintain progress.
- Maintaining compliance with contractual obligations, relevant legislation, quality requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
- Collaborating with senior management to review project performance, resolve challenges and achieve key business objectives.

About You

You are a commercially astute construction professional who understands what it takes to deliver complex projects in the Australian construction market. You bring a proactive leadership style, sound technical knowledge and the ability to manage competing priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.

To be considered, you will ideally have:

- A degree or tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience managing major commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
- Robust capability across project programming, procurement, cost management and risk mitigation.
- The ability to develop, motivate and lead multidisciplinary project teams.
- Confidence managing client expectations and engaging with a broad range of stakeholders.
- A strong commercial mindset and the ability to make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- A consistent focus on safety, quality and delivering projects to a high standard.
