For the first time, SportsPower Biloela is advertising a permanent part-time Sales Assistant position offering school-friendly working hours and a high level of flexibility.
We're a small, locally owned and operated business with a friendly, supportive team, and we're looking for a reliable and motivated person to join us!
About the Role
This is a permanent part-time position, with regular working hours of:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm
- Every second Saturday morning
- Additional flexibility required to cover other staff members' holidays when needed
We understand that flexibility works both ways. While we require the successful candidate to be relatively flexible when covering staff leave, we also offer a high level of flexibility in return, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking a healthy work-life balance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing friendly, professional customer service
- Assisting customers with product enquiries and purchases
- General retail sales and operating the register
- Merchandising, stock replenishment and product presentation
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-presented store
- Working independently and as part of our small team
About You
We're looking for a responsible, mature-minded adult who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping customers.
Ideally, you'll have:
- A friendly, approachable and positive attitude
- Strong reliability, honesty and a good work ethic
- Confidence working independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A willingness to learn about our products and business
- The ability to be flexible when covering other staff members' holidays
- An interest in sport, fitness or active lifestyle products
Previous retail sales experience is preferable but not essential. We're more interested in finding the right person with the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
