Help us find great people and give them a great start

We’re looking for an organised, approachable HR and Recruitment Coordinator to join our People and Culture team.

This is a varied, hands-on role with recruitment and onboarding at its heart. You’ll also support day-to-day HR administration, employee records and reporting, helping us deliver a positive experience for candidates, new starters and our wider team.

If you enjoy keeping things moving, building relationships and finding better ways of working, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of People and Culture, you’ll work closely with managers and the P&C; team to coordinate recruitment, onboarding and employee administration across our services.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Recruitment: coordinate job advertising, candidate communication, interview arrangements and selection administration, keeping managers and applicants informed throughout.

- Pre-employment checks: coordinate references, right-to-work checks, qualifications and relevant clearances, ensuring requirements are verified and outstanding items are followed up before commencement.

- Onboarding and induction: prepare new starter paperwork, coordinate with managers, IT and Payroll, and track induction activities so employees have what they need to get started.

- HR administration: prepare contracts, variations and employee correspondence using approved templates, and support changes throughout the employee lifecycle.

- Records and compliance: maintain accurate,

confidential employee files and Employment Hero records, including tracking certifications and renewals.

- Reporting: maintain recruitment and onboarding trackers and help prepare regular workforce, compliance and employee lifecycle reports.

- Employee support: monitor the shared HR inbox, respond to routine queries and refer matters to the appropriate person.

- Process improvement: help us improve templates, workflows and our use of Employment Hero as we develop our recruitment and onboarding processes.

What you’ll bring

You’ll have experience in HR administration, recruitment coordination or a similar people-focused role, along with:

- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

- Clear, friendly communication and confidence working with candidates, employees and managers.

- Attention to detail when preparing documents, maintaining records and checking information.

- Sound judgement, discretion and respect for confidential information.

- Initiative and a practical approach to solving problems and following things through.

- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.

- A willingness to learn, contribute ideas and support the team.

- Experience with Employment Hero or another HR system,

relevant HR qualifications or study, and experience in a not-for-profit or community services setting would be well regarded.

- Hold a National Police Clearance (within 6 months of issue date)

Benefits

In addition to your remuneration package, you will receive:

- Generous salary packaging, including up to $15,900 per annum for general living expenses and an additional $2,650 per annum for meal and entertainment expenses

- 4 weeks annual leave, plus leave loading

- 3 additional days leave allocated over the Christmas period

- Access to our staff EAP program

- A diverse role with exposure to recruitment and the broader employee lifecycle.

- The opportunity to help shape how we recruit, onboard and support our people.

- Support from an experienced People and Culture team.

- Meaningful work supporting services for young West Australians.

- Flexible working arrangements
