We are looking for a skilled and passionate Full-Time or Part-Time Assistant Produce Manager to join our team at Supamart Blaxland . As an Assistant Produce Manager/Produce 2IC, you will be responsible for ensuring the superior freshness and quality of our produce, as well as managing our produce department to meet our customer's needs.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that our produce is always fresh, of the highest quality, and visually appealing.
- Create and implement innovative ideas to promote and sell our produce, such as displays, promotions, and events
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure that we always have the right products in stock
- Train and manage staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean and organized department
- Monitor and manage waste, spoilage, and shrink to ensure profitability
- Continuously seek ways to improve the department and the overall customer experience
Requirements:
- Passion for produce and providing exceptional customer service
- Experience in the produce industry preferred but not essential
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage inventory and ordering
- Ability to train and manage staff
- Creative mindset and willingness to try new things
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
