The Company
A leading Australian manufacturer of specialised heavy vehicles, seeking a reliable, hands-on Automotive Assembler to join their growing team. This is a great prospect to work in a supportive manufacturing environment, assembling specialised vehicles and components.
Responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Assembling specialised heavy vehicles and vehicle components
- Fitting and installing mechanical parts, equipment and accessories
- Using hand and power tools to complete assembly tasks
- Following engineering drawings, assembly instructions and specifications
- Assisting with fitting, wiring and installation of vehicle components
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure work meets required standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
- Working collaboratively with the production team to meet build schedules
The successful candidate will require the following attributes:
- Previous experience in automotive assembly, mechanical fitting, manufacturing or a similar role
- Welding skills highly advantageous
- Electrical skills or experience with vehicle wiring highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Positive attitude, reliable work ethic and willingness to learn
Hours & rates:
Hours: 9-day fortnight - every second Friday off
Rate: $45 per hour + super + overtime
Standard working hours apply, with overtime opportunities available when required.
