An exciting opportunity exists to take your career to the next level at Griffith's favourite boutique hotel, The Gem Hotel. We're seeking an Assistant Venue Manager / 2IC to be our dynamic Licensee's right-hand person.
You'll help drive business performance and culture, making sure customer experience and service standards are consistently exceeded. When the Licensee / Venue Manager is off-site, you'll step up to run the entire operation, food and gaming business with their full authority. You'll lead multiple teams across a range of product offerings and revenue streams, reporting directly to the Venue Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Lead shifts across front-of-house, bar, restaurant, gaming and TAB, keeping service smooth and patrons happy
- Manage the gaming room and TAB ensuring compliance with RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG obligations across the venue
- Train, mentor and develop staff and teams to build a solid hospitality culture
- Write rosters,
manage daily financials and cash handling, conduct stocktakes and help drive revenue across all departments
- Act as Licensee / Venue Manager in their absence, including across peak weekend and public holiday periods
About you
- At least 2 years in a duty manager, assistant manager or venue manager role in a busy, multi-faceted food, beverage and gaming venue
- Current NSW RSA, RCG and Advanced RCG certifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of bar, food and gaming operations with a proven ability to drive revenue
- Can make a great cocktail!
- Professional when it counts, with a sense of humour that makes even the busiest shifts enjoyable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
