The Prospect

We are partnering with a leading global organisation to appoint a Head of SEO & AI Visibility, a newly created leadership opportunity focused on transforming how its brands are discovered and recommended across traditional search engines and emerging AI platforms.

This is an chance for an experienced search leader to build and scale a global function, shaping the strategy across SEO, Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO), AI Optimisation (AIO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO).

With an established foundation already delivering results, you'll have the autonomy to develop the operating model, build capability and drive measurable commercial outcomes across multiple brands and international markets.

What You'll Be Doing

- Own and deliver the global SEO and AI visibility strategy across multiple brands and markets.
- Develop and scale search programs spanning traditional organic search, AI-powered discovery, AEO and GEO.
- Build the function's operating model, team structure, processes and long-term roadmap.
- Lead technical SEO strategy, including site architecture, structured data, schema, crawlability and Core Web Vitals.
- Partner with content, digital, engineering and regional marketing teams to improve search performance.
- Establish measurement frameworks covering organic visibility, AI citations, share of voice, traffic, leads and conversions.
- Translate search performance into commercial outcomes, reporting on pipeline, revenue and ROI to senior leadership.




- Lead and develop internal search capability while managing external technology and agency partners.

What We're Looking For

- 8–10+ years' experience in SEO, organic search or digital growth, with strong technical expertise.
- 4+ years' experience leading search or organic growth teams.
- Experience developing SEO strategies across complex, multi-brand or international environments.
- Strong understanding of emerging AI search technologies, including AEO, GEO and AI-driven discovery.
- Proven ability to build or scale search programs, ideally from the ground up.
- Hands-on technical SEO experience, working closely with development and engineering teams.
- Experience using established SEO platforms alongside emerging AI visibility and citation tracking tools.
- Commercial mindset, with the ability to connect organic search performance to leads, pipeline and revenue.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to executive leadership.
- Experience across B2B and B2C environments, or businesses with different customer journeys, will be highly regarded.
