About the role

Dementia Care QLD is looking for a reliable, hands-on casual Support Worker on the Sunshine Coast to help a client keep their home running smoothly and stay independent in their own space. This is a practical, varied role. One day you might be mowing the lawn and tidying the yard, the next you're cleaning around the house and helping prepare healthy meals. You'll be working one-on-one with the same client, so you'll get to know their routines and preferences and become someone they can rely on.

Key responsibilities
Mowing the lawn and keeping the yard neat and protected
Cleaning around the house, including kitchen, bathroom, floors and general tidying
Meal support: planning, shopping, preparing and cooking meals, and cleaning up afterwards
Encouraging the client to be involved in tasks where they're able to
Noticing and reporting any changes in the client's health, wellbeing or home environment
Writing transparent, timely shift notes and keeping the care team informed

About you
Experience in support work, home care, domestic assistance or a similar role
Comfortable mowing lawns and doing physical, outdoor work




Basic cooking skills and an understanding of food safety and hygiene
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (must be cleared before your first shift)
Current First Aid and CPR
Full driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle
Valid Australian work rights
Certificate III in Individual Support or similar is desirable but not essential
Dependable, respectful of the client's home and someone who takes pride in a job done well

Advantages
$39–$45 per hour plus super, paid weekly
Casual employment under the SCHADS Award. This is an employed role, not ABN or contractor
