Enhanced Engineering is a heavy vehicle engineering shop in Carrum Downs - waste and fleet work, plus a busy laser cut-and-fold side.
We need an experienced operator who can walk in and start working on our laser, our press brake, or both from day one. Either skill - please enquire.
This is not a training role. We won't be teaching you the machine - you already know it. You'll be confident in what you do, make your own decisions and get parts right the first time without being supervised.
The gear
YWL1530B fibre laser (3000 x 1500), nesting in Metalix cncKad
Yawei 110 t x 3100 mm press brake, Delem DA-66T control, LazerSafe guarding
Mostly zincanneal, gal and mild steel, some stainless and aluminium
The role
Nest jobs in cncKad and run and maintain the laser
Program parts at the Delem from drawings, set up tooling and run to quantity
Keep the press and the floor fed - shop hands load and unload
What we need
Proven, hands-on experience on a fibre laser or CNC press brake,
or both - no trainees or apprentices
Able to program, not just load and run
Reads engineering drawings and measures accurately
Stays calm and keeps output up when it's busy
Confident making decisions on the machine - setups, sequences, fixes - without being told
Takes ownership and doesn't need chasing
Valuable attitude and reliable every day - 6:00 am start
Forklift licence a plus; full working rights in Australia
