Well Established Korean Restaurant located in Haymarket is currently recruiting for an experienced cook with previous experience in cooking to join its growing team.

The successful applicant must be committed to our kitchen team on a daily basis. You must also be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be responsible. You be willing to work in a team workplace and autonomously.

Salary Range : $75,000 - $82,000 (plus superannuation)

Qualifications & experience
Qualified Cook - Minimum 3 years (essential) in in a similar role with references.
Bulk Catering, bulk cooking, Buffet / Banquet Chef, Function Chef experience highly desirable.
Flexible and adaptive nature, able to fit in with changing teams.
You will be passionate about food and presentation.
You will have the ability to work under pressure and deliver when it counts
Flexible with on call requirements and available for weekends
Attention to detail and great time management is a must.

Tasks & responsibilities




Manage daily operation of a commercial kitchen.
Supervise and coordinate cooks and other workers with cooking process in consideration of production schedules and staff demands.
Develop, design, or create new menu according to availability of seasonal ingredients.
Create current and exciting dishes to renew menus and engage the interest of customers.
Ensure excellent quality throughout the dishes.
Monitor stocks for ingredients and make appropriate orders within budget.
Check the quality of raw material and condition of equipment and devices used for cooking.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations such as food hygiene and Health and Safety standards
Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and restaurant staff.
