Queensland Building & Construction Commission – Brisbane QLD

Working within the Licensing Services Branch, you will manage a diverse caseload and assess whether applicants meet relevant licensing requirements. You will gather and analyse information, identify potential risks or inconsistencies, and ensure decisions are accurate, evidence-based and consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.

In this role, you will:
assess licence applications, qualifications, employment history and supporting documentation
contact applicants, employers and other stakeholders to obtain further information
identify concerns, inconsistencies and potential risks requiring further assessment
prepare clear recommendations and make sound administrative decisions
manage competing priorities while meeting service standards and timeframes
maintain accurate assessment records and outcomes in Salesforce and other business systems.

About you





You are an analytical and detail-focused skilled who can confidently review complex information and reach fair, defensible conclusions. You communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders, exercise sound judgement and remain organised while managing multiple applications.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:
experience in licensing, compliance, regulatory or investigative work
an understanding of licensing requirements, policies and procedures
experience reviewing qualifications, employment history and other evidence
the ability to identify incorrect, inconsistent or concerning information
robust written skills, including preparing reports and recommendations
confidence using Salesforce or a similar case-management system.

Experience in occupational or trade licensing, administrative decision-making, risk assessment, integrity functions, or the building and construction industry will be highly regarded.
