We’re looking for a friendly and experienced barista to join our team on a casual basis.
About the Role
Prepare and serve consistently high-quality espresso-based coffees.
Adjust the grinder and dial in coffee to maintain quality throughout the day.
Texture milk and produce latte art to a consistent standard.
Prepare matcha and other beverages according to our recipes and standards.
Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining attention to detail.
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented coffee station.
Clean and maintain coffee equipment.
Assist the kitchen team with food preparation and handling.
Help with stocktaking and inventory checklists.
Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning duties when required.
Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations.
What We’re Looking For
Previous barista experience in an Australian café.
Confidence working independently with an espresso machine and grinder.
Strong coffee-making skills and a sound understanding of espresso extraction.
Experience preparing matcha and other beverages is desirable.
Knowledge of food handling and café hygiene standards.
The ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods.
A positive attitude, reliability and strong teamwork skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Flexibility to assist with kitchen, cleaning and general café duties.
Valid working rights in Australia for the required hours.
