Our client is a well‑known alcoholic beverage manufacturer based in Adelaide. They are seeking a Quality Technician to join their team in the laboratory. This role is full time, rotating shift: 1 week day shift (7am-3pm) and 1 week afternoon shift (3pm-11pm). This is a full time, casual, on-going role.
Duties:
Collection, storage and organisation of beer samples
Microbial testing, plating and counting colonies on plates
Preparation of media and buffers
Data collation on Excel and presentation of results at meetings
Titration and general wet chemistry
Operation and calibration of laboratory equipment
General maintenance of the laboratory environment
Skills/experience:
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science/ Microbiology or a related discipline
Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is highly desirable
Ability to perform chemical or microbial testing on food/ beverage samples
Solid attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
