Brisbane Reinforcement Company (BRC) is looking for 2 reliable, hardworking and motivated Steel Yard / Factory Worker to join our growing team for afternoon shift!
Training & Shift Hours
The successful applicant will complete their initial training on the day shift for approximately 2–3 weeks. Once training is completed, they will transition to the afternoon shift, working 2:00pm – 10:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
Loading and unloading trucks
Picking and preparing customer orders for delivery
Handling, moving and organising reinforcing steel products
Assisting with general factory and yard duties
Ensuring orders are picked accurately and efficiently
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work setting
Working as part of a team to meet daily deadlines
Requirements
Physically fit and capable of performing repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Good attention to detail when picking orders
Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team
Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
Highly Desirable
Previous experience working in a steel yard, reinforcement factory or similar setting
Experience loading and unloading trucks
Knowledge of reinforcing steel products

PLEASE NOTE: This is a hands-on role in a busy steel yard, NOT a traditional factory environment. The position involves physically demanding work, including working outdoors, handling steel products, picking orders and loading trucks. Applicants must be comfortable working in an active steel yard environment.
