Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and manage Freedom of Information (FOI) applications in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA).
Review, research and assess documents, preparing recommendations and draft decisions regarding the release of information.
Consult and liaise with applicants, third parties and internal stakeholders throughout the FOI process.
Provide expert advice and guidance on FOI legislation, information access and disclosure requirements.
Monitor and coordinate application timeframes to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
Prepare correspondence, reports, briefings and other documentation relating to FOI matters.
Develop and maintain FOI resources, procedures and guidance materials.




Deliver training and support to employees to build awareness of FOI obligations and best practice information management.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legislative and organisational requirements.
Build effective relationships with stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required:
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying the Freedom of Information Act 1992 (WA), including the processing of FOI applications.
Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a small team workplace.
Solid verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
Proven organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
