Our client is an emerging Australian private equity manager with a solid track record across multiple fund vintages. The firm is at an early and pivotal stage of its growth and is now looking to build out its wholesale capital raising capability.

This is an opportunity to join as the firm’s first Head of Distribution, shape the capital raising strategy from the ground up, and share directly in the upside as the business grows.

The Role

Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will lead the firm’s wholesale distribution effort across wholesale advisers, private wealth, family offices and HNW/UHNW investors. Key responsibilities include:
Developing and executing the wholesale capital raising strategy across current and future funds
Building and deepening relationships with private banks, wealth platforms, advisory groups and family offices
Originating and managing direct relationships with HNW and UHNW investors
Leading fund launches and capital raises, including investor presentations, roadshows and events
Working closely with the investment team to translate strategy and performance into a compelling investor narrative




Building out the distribution function over time, including team, process and CRM discipline

About You
Senior distribution or capital raising experience within private markets, alternatives or funds management
An established network across wholesale advisers, private wealth and family office channels
A track record of raising capital into private or illiquid strategies, ideally private equity
Credibility to engage at the most senior levels with investors, gatekeepers and research houses
Entrepreneurial, self-directed and energised by the opportunity to build rather than inherit
