Details:
ACT NoWaste delivers the ACT Government's recycling and waste management program and is responsible for a range of services that support a cleaner and more sustainable Canberra.
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Delivery Officer to join our team.
This temporary opportunity will initially support the management and performance monitoring of the Household Waste Collections contract, including kerbside waste and recycling collection services provided to Canberra households.
The successful applicant will work closely with contractors and stakeholders to monitor service delivery, investigate operational issues, analyse performance data, undertake audits and inspections, and prepare reports and correspondence.
The role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in contract management, operational service delivery, customer service and continuous improvement within a energetic environment.
We are looking for someone who has:
Experience monitoring service delivery, contract performance or operational activities.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, correspondence and recommendations.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build productive working relationships.
Experience conducting audits, inspections or compliance activities would be highly regarded.




The ideal candidate will enjoy working collaboratively, taking initiative, and contributing to the delivery of high-quality community services.
Eligibility/Other requirements:
Driver's Licence (Class C) is essential.
Qualifications and/or experience relevant to contract management, project management, compliance, waste management, environmental services or a related field are highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary position available from 9 November **** to 1 January ****, with a possibility of extension up to six months.
This position is available to ACT Government officers and employees only.
A merit pool may be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future temporary vacancies at the ASO6 level within ACT NoWaste over the next 12 months.
The selection panel may determine suitability based on the written application, without conducting interviews.
