The Duty Manager is responsible for the effective supervision and operation of Club Quirindi during rostered shifts, ensuring members and guests receive a high standard of service while maintaining a safe, compliant, professional and welcoming environment. The position provides hands-on leadership to employees across the Club and acts as the senior operational representative on duty when required. The Duty Manager is expected to lead by example, support staff, respond effectively to operational issues, maintain appropriate standards of conduct and presentation, and ensure the Club's policies and procedures are followed throughout each shift. The role requires a strong balance of customer service, staff leadership, operational decision-making, regulatory compliance and commercial awareness.
Key responsibilities
Take operational responsibility for the Club during rostered Duty Manager shifts
Coordinate the opening, operation and closing of the premises in accordance with Club procedures
Ensure all operational areas are appropriately staffed and functioning effectively
Monitor service standards across the Club and conduct regular walkthroughs of the premises to monitor presentation, cleanliness, safety and customer service
Respond promptly to operational issues and make appropriate decisions within delegated authority
Provide visible leadership and supervision to employees during each shift, allocate duties and coordinate staff according to operational requirements




Monitor staff performance and service standards during shifts and provide practical direction, coaching and assistance to employees
Maintain a welcoming, professional and respectful environment for members and guests, lead by example in providing excellent customer service and assist employees in resolving customer queries and complaints
Assist Club Quirindi in maintaining compliance with applicable operational requirements including Responsible Service of Alcohol, Responsible Conduct of Gambling, liquor licence conditions, gaming operational requirements, cash handling and financial control procedures, Work Health and Safety requirements and emergency and evacuation procedures
Escalate significant operational, staffing, safety, compliance or member issues to the Secretary Manager
About you
Previous supervisory experience within hospitality, clubs, hotels or a similar customer-focused environment
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Ability to supervise and motivate employees
Confidence managing difficult patrons and resolving complaints
Sound judgement and the ability to make operational decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and skilled under pressure
Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gambling competency
Ability to work nights, weekends and public holidays as required
