About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide primary care to young people at the Parkville Youth Justice Precinct. This includes comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and establishing a therapeutic alliance that is respectful of a person's choices, experiences, and circumstances in developing a comprehensive treatment plan. The GP will work collaboratively with the broader multidisciplinary team to deliver client centred, evidence based, holistic care. Successful candidates will be required to participate in a rotating on call roster.

Independently provide and coordinate high-quality comprehensive medical care for young people within the Parkville Youth Justice Precinct
Provide appropriate care and services to young people of all levels of health care needs
Respond to medical/ health problems presented by young people including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate
Provide services in a manner that is sensitive to the cultural background of client
Participation in rotating 24/7 on call roster
