Do you love helping people live life their way? At Gippsland Total Care (GTC), our Disability Support Workers make a real difference every day, supporting NDIS participants at home and out in their local communities.
No two days are the same. Depending on the people you support, your work might include:
Personal care:
Helping with showering, dressing, grooming, mobility and daily routines, always with dignity and respect.
Getting out and about:
Joining participants for shopping, social outings, recreational activities and appointments.
Around the home:
Lending a hand with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and everyday household tasks.
Getting there:
Helping participants get to medical appointments and community activities.
Psychosocial support:
Being a calm, compassionate presence for participants facing psychosocial challenges.
Keeping things on track:
Writing explicit progress notes and following each person's individual support plan.
