About the role
We are seeking a talented and driven Business Development Salesperson to join our team on a full time basis in Adelaide, South Australia. This is a strategic role that plays a vital part in driving our company's growth and market expansion. As a Business Development Salesperson, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building valuable client relationships, and closing deals that contribute directly to our company's success. Your ability to combine consultative selling with relationship-building skills will be essential as you work to establish Spitwater SA as the preferred partner for our clients.
Key responsibilities
Identify, pursue and develop new business opportunities and potential clients within the South Australian market
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective clients
Conduct needs assessments and provide tailored solutions that address client challenges and objectives
Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to key decision-makers
Negotiate contracts and terms to achieve mutually beneficial agreements
Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and business development goals
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction
Maintain accurate records of sales activities,



client interactions and pipeline progress
Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity and industry developments
Contribute to the development of sales strategies and marketing initiatives
What we're looking for
Proven track record in sales or business development, ideally with 5+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand client needs and provide relevant solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain qualified relationships and networks
Self-motivated and results-driven with a proven ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
Proficiency in using customer relationship management (CRM) systems and Microsoft Office applications
Knowledge of the South Australian market and established networks would be advantageous
Willingness to travel within South Australia as required
