Dental Assistant
to join our dynamic team on a
part-time/ Full-time basis
at our Cranbourne practice. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to our mission of delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive and cooperative environment. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinical operations, enhancing patient experience, and supporting our dental practitioners in delivering high-quality treatments.
What you'll be doing
Assisting dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures, including restorations, extractions, root canal treatments, and cosmetic dentistry
Preparing treatment rooms, sterilising instruments, and ensuring all equipment is ready for patient appointments
Processing dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with safety protocols
Recording patient information accurately and maintaining detailed clinical notes during treatments
Providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort throughout dental procedures
Managing patient communication, including pre and post-operative instructions
Maintaining infection control and adhering to strict health and safety standards
Supporting the reception team with scheduling, appointment reminders, and general administrative tasks as required
Ordering and managing dental supplies and materials inventory
Contributing to a positive team environment and supporting the overall success of the practice
What we're looking for
Formal qualifications as a Dental Assistant or equivalent recognised certification
Experience working as a dental assistant in an active dental practice
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and clinical protocols
Competency in chairside assistance and instrument management




Excellent communication skills and a patient-focused approach to care
Strong organisational and time management abilities, with attention to detail
Commitment to maintaining infection control and health and safety standards
A reliable, professional attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
Current CPR certification and willingness to maintain professional development
Proficiency with dental practice management software is desirable
