Maxitool Australia is a division of the Maxitool Group, providing high-quality Dredging and Engineering services to clients within the mining and resource industries for over 20 years.
We are currently seeking an entry-level spotter/ deckhand for ongoing FIFO work on a dredging project at a coal mine in the Bowen Basin.
The Position
FIFO via Cairns or Brisbane
Camp accommodation & meals provided
Duties
Spotting personnel working on the water.
Moving dredge anchor points.
Pre-starting machinery.
Starting and shutting down pumpsets.
General errands on site i.e. collecting fuel, delivering paperwork etc.
Current Coal Board Medical.
Current Standard 11 Mining Generic Coal Induction.
Current Drivers Licence.
Current Glencore Generic Induction (GGI)
very desirable.
Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test.
Hard working and self-motivated.
Team player with a can-do attitude.
Willing to comply with site rules, processes and controls identified in risk assessments.
Willing to be accountable.
Skills & Experience required
Mining experience, or willingness to listen and learn how to operate in a mining setting.
Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance policies.
