This is an Aboriginal community in Central Queensland, around 2 hours inland of Rockhampton.
Working in Aboriginal health can be challenging due to the complex care needs of many patients, but also very rewarding.
This chance will provide an opportunity to:
Acquire knowledge and understanding of the complex determinants of indigenous health
Develop cultural competence and understanding of cultural safety
Contribute to, and potentially become advocates for, indigenous health outcomes
Make a practical contribution to closing the gap on health equality and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal people
