Casual Registered Nurse – Night Shift
We're on the lookout for a compassionate, confident and self‐motivated Casual Registered Nurse to join our dedicated night‐shift rotation in our Canberra community.
We'll be delivering highly specialised, person‐centred care to Members with complex clinical needs, including airway management, tracheostomy care and critical life‐sustaining equipment within patient homes.
For the right person, there's potential to transition into a permanent position as part of the Team National family.
Overview of Responsibilities
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting changes and reporting.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Assist with daily living activities and ensure patient comfort.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality protocols.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.




Minimum of 2 years of paid nursing experience.
ACT Working with Vulnerable People Check.
National Police Check (within 12 months).
NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
NDIS Effective Communications Module.
NDIS Safe and Enjoyable Meals Module.
Current First Aid (3 years) & CPR (annual).
Reliable transport to and from shifts.
Immediate start and availability throughout Christmas peak period.
Available for a minimum of 2 consecutive night shifts.
Flexibility to work night shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
Confident clinical and critical thinking skills.
Preferred
Experience with airway management including tracheostomy.
Experience with airway management including ventilation.
Experience with Enteral Management.
Location & Salary
Canberra $70,000 - $95,000 per year.
