Branch Manager | Timber & Building Supplies | Townsville
This is a chance to lead the whole branch, not just the sales team. You'll build relationships with local builders while making sure the people, stock and deliveries behind every order are working well.
Empowered Recruitment is assisting an established timber and hardware supplier to appoint a Branch Manager in Townsville. Reporting to the General Manager, you'll lead the sales, store, yard and delivery teams while helping shape the branch's plans for growth.
What you'll take ownership of
Growing relationships with builders and trade customers, while finding current opportunities locally
Leading and developing the team across sales, customer service and branch operations
Managing sales targets, margins, budgets and controllable costs
Overseeing quoting, pricing, purchasing, stock and delivery performance
Keeping the branch safe, well presented and running reliably for customers and staff
This is a visible role.
You'll spend time with customers and your team, while also having the commercial responsibility to make informed decisions about branch performance.
Who we'd like to meet
You'll have experience leading people and delivering commercial results. Knowledge of timber, hardware or building products is important, as is an understanding of what trade customers expect from a supplier.
Your title does not need to be Branch Manager. You may be leading a trade centre, building-products team, store or sales-and-operations function and be ready for broader responsibility.
A current driver's licence is required; a forklift ticket would be an advantage. The role may involve travel and weekend work when needed.
A vehicle is included, and remuneration will reflect your experience.
