We're looking for a talented, hands-on Wood-Fired Pizza Chef / Chef de Partie who knows their way around a pizza oven and is ready for more than just service.

More than making great pizza
Of course, you'll be making outstanding wood-fired pizzas, nailing dough preparation, managing your section, and delivering consistent quality during busy service.
But here's where this role is different: we want to help you become a Junior Sous Chef.
Work alongside Grant Smillie and the Marmont Executive Chef from We Are Your Friends to shape the future of one of Melbourne's most iconic hospitality venues.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook high-quality pizzas using a wood-fired oven
Manage dough preparation, fermentation, stretching, and topping (BIGA and hand stretching pizzas)
Maintain consistency in food quality,



presentation, and portion control
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and food preparation
Follow food safety standards and kitchen procedures
Work collaboratively with the head chef and kitchen team
Skills and Experience:
Previous experience as a pizza chef and operating a wood-fired pizza oven.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
Excellent attention to detail and a passion for quality food
Reliable, organised, and a solid team player
