Location: Canberra ACT (Onsite Preferred) Security Clearance: Must be able to get NV1 (Minimum) Hours: Up to 40 Hours per Week About the Opportunity Commercial Application Delivery Section within the Business Solutions Branch is seeking experienced Senior Salesforce Developers to support the development, enhancement, integration, and ongoing support of enterprise Salesforce solutions.
The successful candidates will work within multidisciplinary project teams delivering critical applications that support global operations, including consular services, international aid, trade, and diplomatic functions.
This role requires strong technical expertise across the Salesforce ecosystem, a commitment to best practices, and experience delivering secure, scalable, enterprise-grade solutions.
Key Responsibilities Salesforce Development Configuration Design, develop, test and deploy Salesforce solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
Configure and maintain Salesforce objects, fields, page layouts, permission sets, sharing rules, workflows, and automation.
Develop custom solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Aura Components, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Build and maintain Omnistudio components including FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors, and Integration Procedures.
Implement solutions using Salesforce Public Sector Solutions (PSS) and Experience Cloud.
Solution Design Integration Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, and solution design activities.
Collaborate with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Testers, and Release Managers to deliver quality outcomes.




Design and implement enterprise-scale integrations between Salesforce and external systems.
Ensure solutions align with Salesforce best practices, security standards, and architectural guidelines.
DevOps Release Management Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
Manage source control repositories using Git and related version control tools.
Support quality assurance activities including unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution.
Participate in deployment and release activities through established DevOps processes.
Documentation Support Prepare technical designs, solution documentation, configuration guides, and support materials.
Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues and defects.
Provide ongoing support and enhancement services for Salesforce applications.
Remain current with Salesforce platform developments and emerging technologies.
Requirements Essential Skills Experience Salesforce Experience Minimum 3 years' hands-on Salesforce development experience.
Demonstrated experience designing and delivering enterprise-level Salesforce solutions.
Strong experience configuring: Custom Objects Flows Permission Sets Sharing Security Models Validation Rules Page Layouts and Record Types Technical Skills Advanced experience with: Apex Lightning Web Components (LWC) Omnistudio Aura Components JavaScript HTML CSS Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise applications and APIs.
Solid understanding of Salesforce security and data models.
Experience using Git-based source control and CI/CD deployment tools.
