The Jade Biviano Family Trust, trading as Biviano Direct, operates a fresh produce and food supply business from Thornbury, Victoria.
The business supplies a broad range of fresh fruit and vegetables, meat and poultry, seafood, dairy products, groceries, pantry goods, frozen products, beverages and other food-related products to hospitality, commercial and residential customers.
Biviano Direct sources fresh produce daily from the Melbourne Wholesale Market and operates from a HACCP-accredited facility in Thornbury.
About the Role Biviano Direct is seeking an experienced Retail Manager (General) to oversee the day-to-day retail and customer-facing operations of the business.
The successful candidate will manage product ranges, pricing, stock availability, staff performance and customer service while supporting efficient and profitable retail operations.
Location: 351A Darebin Road, Thornbury VIC **** Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day retail operations of the business and maintain consistent customer service standards Determine product mix and stock levels across fresh produce, meat, seafood, dairy, grocery and other retail product categories Monitor customer demand, sales trends and product performance to support purchasing and merchandising decisions Review supplier pricing, product costs and retail prices to maintain competitive and commercially appropriate margins Coordinate purchasing requirements and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and product providers Oversee merchandising,



product presentation and promotional activities across retail and online sales channels Monitor stock rotation, product freshness and inventory availability to minimise wastage and maintain quality Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales activity and financial transactions relevant to retail operations Supervise, roster and support retail staff and provide guidance on customer service and operational standards Resolve customer enquiries and complaints and ensure a high standard of service is maintained Monitor retail performance, operating costs and sales results and provide reports and recommendations to management Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, workplace health and safety and applicable retail requirements Candidate Requirements Relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business, Commerce or a related discipline Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in retail management, food retail, wholesale retail or a comparable role Experience managing stock, suppliers, pricing and product ranges Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising and customer service Ability to supervise staff and maintain effective day-to-day store operations Robust organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills Experience in fresh food, grocery, produce or hospitality supply environments will be highly regarded Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills Only candidates currently residing in Australia will be shortlisted How to Apply Please submit your resume outlining your relevant experience and suitability for the position.
