Location: Australia Role: System Integration Specialist Experience: Senior-level expertise Mandatory Security Clearance About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Development Expert – IBM Integration to design, develop and support secure, scalable enterprise integration solutions.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM API Connect (APIC), ESQL and Java , along with knowledge of cyber security frameworks and secure messaging standards.
Key Responsibilities Design, develop and implement integration solutions using IBM ACE, IBM APIC, ESQL and Java.
Design service interfaces, message transformations, XML schemas and integration logic.
Ensure secure, reliable and reusable system integrations across enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve integration, API and messaging issues.
Apply TLS, PKI concepts and XML standards to secure integration services.
Develop monitoring, logging, auditing and testing capabilities.
Conduct code reviews and maintain technical documentation and implementation artefacts.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, testers and support teams to deliver technical solutions.




Support security remediation, compliance initiatives, backlog prioritisation and delivery planning.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring and knowledge transfer to the team.
Essential Skills Experience Robust hands-on experience with IBM ACE and IBM APIC .
Proficiency in ESQL, Java, XML, XML Schema and message transformation .
Experience designing and developing enterprise integration and messaging solutions.
Knowledge of TLS, PKI, secure interfaces and API security.
Experience in cyber security, security remediation, compliance or risk management within complex ICT environments.
Understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including PSPF, ISM and Essential Eight , and familiarity with NIST.
Strong stakeholder management, technical documentation, problem-solving and communication skills.
