Our client is anAustralian-owned FMCG and consumer products business that has built a reputation for finding opportunities where others don't. Operating across wholesale, retail, discount and distribution channels, the company partners with some of Australia's most recognised brands while also developing and growing its own private label portfolio.
With strong supplier relationships, significant warehousing and distribution capabilities, and an entrepreneurial mindset, the business thrives in a fast-moving environment where decisions are made quickly, opportunities are seized, and commercial thinking is valued. Following continued growth and internal promotions, the business is now seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead an established sales function and help drive the next chapter of growth.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this is a hands-on leadership role responsible for leading a team of 5-6 Account Managers while overseeing the broader sales strategy, performance and execution of the division. Unlike highly structured FMCG environments, this business operates at pace. Product opportunities, special buys, excess inventory, clearance stock and supplier opportunities emerge daily, meaning success comes from being commercially agile, decisive and comfortable working with changing priorities.
You'll lead an established team and inherit strong reporting tools, dashboards and sales processes. The focus is not on rebuilding a function from scratch but rather maintaining momentum, improving performance, identifying commercial opportunities and ensuring the team consistently delivers against sales targets.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing internal sales team
Owning sales budgets, forecasting and annual planning
Driving achievement of company sales targets and commercial objectives
Monitoring sales performance, KPIs and customer profitability
Managing reporting packs and providing meaningful business insights
Identifying growth opportunities across existing and current customer channels
Building and maintaining strategic customer and supplier relationships
Working closely with Category, Procurement, Marketing and Operations teams
Overseeing CRM optimisation, pipeline management and sales processes
Becoming deeply involved in product, pricing and promotional activity to maximise sales outcomes
Fast paced entrepreneurialbusiness

This is very much a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, understanding the detail and being actively involved in the day-to-day commercial operation.
You
We're looking for a commercially minded sales leader who combines strong team leadership with exceptional execution skills.
You'll likely bring:
Experience leading sales teams within FMCG, wholesale distribution, consumer goods or a related sector
A track record of achieving sales growth and delivering against budget targets
Robust commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data and translate insights into action

On Offer
Direct access to executive leadership and genuine influence over commercial outcomes
Established team, systems and infrastructure already in place
Opportunity to join a growing business with a highly entrepreneurial culture
Diverse product portfolio spanning leading brands and private label ranges
Career progression opportunities within a broader group experiencing continued growth
Office-based leadership role with a team-oriented and high-energy team environment
