Senior Security Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Security Consultant to join a Canberra-based cyber security team supporting a large enterprise environment.
This is a hands‐on, customer‐facing role working onsite and focused on the design, implementation, and operation of cyber security technologies across endpoint, identity, cloud, and security monitoring domains.
The successful candidate will bring a strong blend of technical security expertise and consulting capability, with experience delivering security solutions, supporting security operations, and advising stakeholders on cyber security best practices.

What will you be doing?
Design, implement and support cyber security products and technologies
Manage and optimise endpoint security and identity and access management solutions
Implement and operate vulnerability management, SIEM and SOAR platforms
Support the planning and coordination of technical security implementations
Engage with stakeholders throughout solution deployment, testing and operational transition activities




Provide security consulting expertise and technical guidance across multiple projects
Assist with solution design, technical workshops and pre‐sales activities where required
Contribute to operational security improvement initiatives and best practices
Mentor and support junior consultants and team members
Participate in knowledge‐sharing, capability uplift and continuous learning activities
Skills and experience required to succeed in this role?
Proven experience delivering cyber security consulting or security engineering services
Strong experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft XDR and Azure security technologies
Experience working with SIEM and SOAR solutions in enterprise environments
Hands‐on experience in SOC operations, including incident investigation, response and triage
Experience with endpoint security, vulnerability management and identity and access management platforms
Knowledge of cloud and hybrid infrastructure security principles
Understanding of networking technologies and security architecture concepts
Experience with scripting, automation and operational efficiency improvements
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to work effectively with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders
Clearance required?
Australian Citizenship is mandatory
Current NV1 Security Clearance required
NV2 Security Clearance highly desirable
