Join an architecture and design practice working across a broad range of sectors, with a focus on creating thoughtful, future-ready places and buildings.
The opportunity
An established architecture and design practice is seeking a Project BIM Manager to lead BIM delivery and support project teams.
You will work closely with design teams, studio and group BIM leadership, contributing to project delivery as well as the development of wider Design Technology capabilities.
The role has a project-focused remit and includes managing a project BIM team where required.
You will provide practical guidance, help teams make effective use of BIM workflows and technology, and support consistent, coordinated delivery on a major airport expansion project.
What you'll do
Lead BIM delivery on key projects, support project teams with day-to-day workflow guidance, troubleshooting and training.
Advise on BIM implementation at project kick-offs and contribute to discussions and negotiations about BIM deliverables.
Author and maintain project BIM Execution Plans and collaborative documents, supporting clear coordination between consultants.
Set up and maintain project BIM files, including linked model structures, survey information, CAD imports and shared coordinates.
Help ensure project BIM work follows practice and project standards, and communicate changes in standards to teams.
Coordinate models, carry out clash detection, communicate findings and liaise with external BIM specialists to resolve issues.
Prepare models for issue and produce federated models and COBie datasets.

Create and document helpful project and practice-wide BIM content, workflows and processes.
Coordinate and support project BIM coordinators, and contribute to local studio initiatives and global BIM standards and resources.
Share expertise with colleagues and represent the Design Technology team through presentations, events and other professional engagement.
What you'll bring
A degree in architecture, engineering, architectural technology or a related discipline.
At least five years' experience applying BIM in practice, including delivery to relevant standards such as ISO *****.
Advanced knowledge of Autodesk Revit or another relevant BIM authoring package, and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Experience with model federation, coordination and quality assurance, ideally on large-scale projects and with large teams.
Experience working with external design and technology collaborators; experience managing a team of specialists is valuable.
Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex concepts, train colleagues and contribute to presentations and negotiations.
A methodical, organised approach, with the ability to prioritise and balance workloads and demonstrate leadership.
Confidence in learning new software and applying technology to project needs.
This is a full-time, office-based role at the practice's Melbourne studio.
You'll be part of a connected Design Technology team, working with colleagues across the studio and the wider practice.
