With more than six decades of continuous operation, we are known for quality, reliability, and innovation.We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Foundry Moulder to join our Ipswich operations on a full-time, permanent basis, with regular overtime available.About the RoleWorking within our Beforecast team, you will prepare sand moulds for the casting of molten metal in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.This role offers:38-hour week (Monday to Friday)Consistent overtime opportunitiesStable, long-term employment in a safety-focused workplaceYou will report directly to the Beforecast Team Leader and work as part of a skilled, team-oriented production team.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce moulds and cores using boxed and boxless moulding techniquesSelect appropriate metal stock to meet job and casting requirementsOperate sand mixing machinery and prepare moulding boxes,



setting patterns in place prior to pourFill moulding boxes with sand, apply refractory paint, and position cores correctly in mouldsPour or assist with pouring molten metal into prepared mouldsHeat metal in furnaces and apply hammering, punching, and cutting techniques using hand tools and machine presses where requiredTemper and harden finished articles through quenching in oil or water baths, or by controlled air coolingCut, trim, shape, and smooth stock to form mould patternsInspect patterns and identify defects impacting casting qualityApply basic metallurgy principles to support sound castingsFinish metal articles by polishing, buffing, and applying shellac, lacquer, paint, or other specified finishesOperate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safelyCorrect use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipmentMaintain clean and organised work areasContribute to continuous improvement and safe work practicesSkills & Experience RequiredYou will have one of the following:Trade qualification as a Moulder, Patternmaker, Coremaker, Metallurgist, Furnaceman or Pourer, orMinimum 4 years' foundry experienceYou will demonstrate:Understanding of running and feeding systemsKnowledge of mould coating technology and finishing operationsAbility to interpret engineering drawingsSafe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipmentStrong attention to detail and pride in workmanshipCommitment to workplace safety and team collaborationWhat We OfferCompetitive pay based on skills and experienceSignificant overtime opportunitiesStable employment with a long-standing Australian manufacturerSupportive team culture with a focus on quality and safety
