We're looking for a Junior Mobile Developer to join our Digital team and help build the React Native app used by our customers across iOS and Android.
This isn't a purely task‐based junior role.
You'll contribute to features in our live app, working alongside experienced engineers.
With guidance and support, you'll take ownership of clearly scoped work, from implementation and testing through to release, and build confidence and independence as you go.What you'll doBuild and maintain our mobile app using React NativeTurn Figma designs into polished, responsive experiencesWork on diverse features such as authentication, experimentation, analytics and push notificationsContribute to automated testing across unit, integration and ideally E2E frameworksCollaborate with designers and our tech lead to turn ideas into working productHelp investigate production issues and implement and test fixes, with support from experienced engineersUse AI‐assisted development tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Codex in your everyday workflow, and understand, review and test the code they generateWhat you'll bringAround 1-2 years of hands‐on commercial experience with React Native and TypeScriptFamiliarity with building reusable UI components and working with component libraries or design systemsFoundational knowledge of responsive layouts, accessibility, animations and mobile performance,



with a willingness to develop these skillsYou will also have:An understanding of iOS and Android fundamentals, including platform differences and app lifecyclesA basic understanding of client state versus server state, and exposure to Zustand or similar (Redux, MobX)Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs, including loading states, errors and async dataSome experience writing automated tests, ideally with Jest or React Native Testing LibraryFamiliarity with Git, code reviews and Agile ways of workingClear communication, a collaborative approach and a willingness to ask questions and seek feedbackYou don't need to tick every box.
